This transdisciplinary event brought leading experts from various fields to explore the philosophy and practice of ReMatriation as it pertains to design, environmental justice, and the Indigenous traditional ecological knowledge. The symposium delved deep into pressing questions surrounding Indigenous relationships with colonial power, occupation, and extraction, as well as ReMatriation Futures philosophies of resistance, regeneration, and repair.

The ReMatriation Futures Symposium occured in Ames at Iowa State University April 11-13. Indigenous and Ally experts discussed the philosophy, practice and design of ReMatriation and the future it can shape from Indigenous, Black, Palestinian, and Puerto Rican experts--grassroots organizers, scholars, tribal historians, architects, frontline fighters, lawyers, etc. More info at bit.ly/remfutures
