My Story
Born and raised in the Minneapolis metro area of Minnesota, Tobias (they/them) is currently a Youth Civic Engagement Organizer and activist with Great Plains Action Society. Having grown up being both indigenous and Lao, they have learned to balance both heritages. Tobias also identifies as queer and works hard to increase representation of the 2SLGBTIA+ community in all that they do. They have previously run the Legislative Update Project, making legislative information more accessible. Currently, they publish works on our blog, make zines about MMIR and intersectionality, and are one of the Co-Organizers of Power to the People Summit. As they learn more about the world around them, they are actively instilling change for a better future for those like them.
