My Story

Alexandrea Walker is a citizen of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, her name in her language is Caxsepziiga meaning Golden Eagle Woman. She is a hardworking undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha who's studying Native American Literature, Native American Studies, and Tribal Emergency Management. She is a dedicated intern at Great Plains Action Society (GPAS), under the Riverland Native Voter Project (RNVP). In her time working for GPAS, Alexandrea has worked on issues such as Missing Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR, MMIW), Land Rights, and Voting-related problems. She's a speaker, an advocate, and a writer.
