The Anti-ICE Movement Has Always Been About Protecting People
I’ve been working on this piece for over a month now, namely because I’ve undergone a change in the way I think about the way we talk about and frame social movements and civic rights.

Read this if you’re doing everything you can and it feels like it's never enough
Part of this work has been learning to do what’s sustainable. Sustainability, especially as a disabled person, is vital, occasionally unpredictable, and entirely dependent on the individual, the day, and your personal circle of support. We cannot effectively organize or protect ourselves if we’re burnt out. We cannot do everything alone and expect to not burn out. Measuring what you’re capable of doing long term is a learning process and a skill. Do not feel bad if you’re bad at it right now.

The Second State Sanctioned Murder in Minnesota
The reality is 3,000 ICE agents are here, perfectly prepared to publicly murder us no matter who we are. ICE and the DHS are acting as if our rights don’t matter because to them, they don’t. It is everyone’s personal responsibility to make a risk assessment before we patrol, or do a supply run, or go to work, or even just leave the house: Is what I’m doing today worth the risk to my safety? Do I have everything I need to keep myself safe? The people of Minneapolis are going to keep saying yes.
